Before CPY takes the leap into a brand new year, we want to say thank you for all of your support in 2021. The year was challenging in so many ways, but to be able to open the doors of the studio was an incredible gift. We are honored to have such an inspiring team of teachers and students as we continue to grow. It has been a dream to share space and practice with you. Cheers to a healthy and peaceful 2022.

We are honored to have 4 new teachers join team CPY this month and bring their beautiful class offerings to the studio.

Eshe Boyette will be teaching All Levels Flow on Thursdays at noon starting this Thursday.
Kym Herrmann will be teaching Power Vinyasa on Saturdays at 4 pm starting Saturday, January 22nd.
Stephanie Schuyler will be teaching Power Vinyasa on Fridays at 5:45 pm starting this Friday.
Victoria Latham will be teaching Guided Meditation-Radical Rest & Self Love on Mondays at 6:45 pm starting Monday January 24th.

Sunday, January 30 | 10am
This special class is back for 2022! A gentle, all levels class to start your Sunday morning. We will spin some records and move our bodies. Valiant will be serving up your favorite beverage to end the class and start your day.
COUPLE'S FOOT MASSAGE CLASS
Sunday, February 13 | 5-6 pm
Nothing says "I love you" like a good foot massage. This class is for partners or friends who want to learn foot massage techniques from a pro. You'll learn the keys to good foot massage and receive guidance and tips as you practice with each other. Please bring anything that will help you get comfortable in class like a yoga mat or cushion. The studio also has yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, and chairs available for use.

Krystal Kamback will be teaching Pilates starting this week in the studio. You deserve to love your core! Pilates is hard, but it’s effective. Beginners to experienced audiences are welcome!

Common People Yoga has teamed up with Zohra Campbell and we are currently accepting applications for “Embodying Yoga,” a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. TEACHER SPOTLIGHT
Noel Uribe "I am a student of life, fiber artist, photographer and mother of two beautiful soul awakeners. I was introduced to the practice while in middle school by the most wonderful light of a woman during a ballet class. I think she saved my life in some ways.
Yoga has been a place of rest, growth and healing for both my mind and body. Having come from a place of childhood trauma and homelessness during my high school years, this practice has allowed me to find my feet and keep going. I was able to graduate as valedictorian and made it to college where I studied art history and microbiology. Who chooses a major anyway?
A quote from one of my favorite books, “The Body Keeps Score” by Bessel A. Van Der Kolk, describes what I think yoga gifts to us – “In order to recover and heal, people need to become aware of their sensations and the way that their bodies interact with the world around them. Physical self-awareness is the first step in releasing the tyranny of the past….”. Yoga has allowed me to release the tyranny of my past and it continues to help me deal with all the emotions/sensations that come with it. I hope to share this with as many people as possible. We all have inner work to do and I hope yoga can be a match that sparks the fire of healing for you. It was a dream come true to complete the YTT program with the amazing Dr. Zohra at Indigo Wellness Center in January of 2019. I’m honored to share my practice with you. Breath deep.
